A practical Saturday program that builds coding skills, digital confidence and safe online habits
This Term 2 program has been designed for TongXin Chinese School families who want students to build real digital skills in a structured, engaging and age-appropriate learning environment. Students will follow guided coding pathways, take part in digital safety learning, and enjoy special Minecraft coding events across the term.
Program Overview
Classes run on Saturdays from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM in Term 2. Students are grouped by age and learning stage so they can progress through curriculum that is appropriate, engaging and challenging at the right level.
Week 1 is a public holiday
Please note that due to the public holiday in Week 1 on April 25th, this program will commence from Week 2 and will run as an 8 week program for the term.

Structured coding pathways for younger learners
Junior students will complete guided, age-appropriate coding pathways that focus on creativity, logic, sequencing and problem-solving in an encouraging and highly visual learning environment.

Advanced coding pathways for older students
Senior students can move into more advanced coding curriculum and develop practical skills in real programming languages commonly used in modern technology and web development.

Practical online safety learning built into the term
In Week 2 of each term, students will take part in a 30 minute Digital Safety Intensive focused on practical steps they can use to protect themselves online. This is designed to help students build safe habits early and understand how to act more confidently and responsibly in digital spaces.

Minecraft Modding events twice each term
Twice each term, students will have the opportunity to apply their coding skills in exciting Minecraft Modding Special Events. Students can code with either Minecraft Java or Minecraft Education Edition to customise their own game experiences in a fun, highly engaging format.

Here are some of the most common questions about enrolment, payments, attendance and program requirements for the Skill Samurai × TongXin Chinese School Program.
How old does my child need to be to attend?
We accept students aged 6+.
When do I need to pay?
Invoices are due one day before the program commences.
Weekly payments will start one day before the program commences.
Is there a minimum number of students?
Yes. We require 8 students to be enrolled one week prior to the program commencing. If this minimum is not met, the program will be cancelled.
Do I need to bring anything?
Just a water bottle — everything else is provided.
What is your cancellation policy?
Families on the weekly payment option must provide two weeks’ written notice if discontinuing the program.

The two-week notice period allows us time to attempt to fill the spot from our waiting list.
Are all of your coaches certified to work with children?
Yes. Every employee holds a current Queensland Working with Children Check.
Can we claim NDIS?
In certain circumstances, depending on your plan management structure and funding, we may be able to provide you with an NDIS-compliant invoice to submit to the NDIS or your plan manager.
